When we are present, we are fully aware of what is happening around us and within us. We are not thinking about the past or the future. We are simply experiencing the present moment. Being present has many benefits. It can help us to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. It can also help us to improve our relationships, our work, and our overall well-being.
There are many ways to be more present. One way is to simply pay attention to your breath. Another way to be more present is to focus on your senses; notice the sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and textures around you.
Lastly but not least, is having unobtrusive reminders that fit in your day-to-day activities to help you stay rooted in the now.
